Genshin Impact Version 1.5 is set to launch a new generation of adventure as the latest update to the smash hit RPG brings Playstation 5 enhancements as well as plenty more best girls to pull for, later this month.
Landing on 28 April and set to drops a ton more content, the latest update to Genshin Impact was announced at the end of last week, but it’s taken us a hot minute to make sure we cram everything into one update. Titled ‘Beneath the Light of Jadeite’ the new update to the hugely successful online RPG from China’s miHoYo will introduce native support for a brand new platform when it arrives later this month. Sony’s next generation system, the PlayStation 5 will get a whole raft of enhanced visuals, improved performance, and gameplay improvements from the previously announced upgrade.
Anybody who doesn’t have a brand new PS5 needn’t worry. The traveller’s tale continues and anybody entering this new chapter will find that rather than pushing out to explore further, they will be able to settle down with their very own home instance. This Serenitea Pot is a new personal realm where gamers can build and decorate their home as they wish. Different house and realm styles will be available, each with plenty of space for outdoor recreation and indoor luxury. How heavily this will be monetized, we’ve yet to see. But here’s hoping that all the pretty housing items are in game rewards.
Players looking for something a bit more narrative driven can delve further into the history of Liyue with Zhongli as this warrior’s own Story quest continues to unfold across the latest update. As the second chapter of his story advances, players will be able to learn a little more about the harbor city and its history. Back in Mondstadt, players can continue their story with Noelle and also spend some time with Diona, the popular bartender of The Cat’s Tail, in a new series of Hangout Events.
Of course, we’re always here for new character pulls. Both Eula and Yanfei arrive as part of Beneath the Light of Jadeite, giving players plenty of reason to blow Primogems on the upcoming banner updates. Eula the Spindrift Knight is a 5 star character. She carries a massive Claymore and utilises Cryo skills to deal AoE damage and increase her resistance to interruption with her Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst. Yanfei is a 4 star Pyro wielder and a half-human, half-illuminated-beast who dedicates her life to studying, interpreting, and advising her clients on Liyue’s laws. Both these new team members were mentioned on the stream below. The skill details arre not 100% confirmed but based on the information online already and the preview, we’re quite sure they are correct at this stage.

Alongside these additions, players will also find two new bosses wandering the land. The Cryo Hypostasis joins the Hypostasis in offering up a sizeable reward if taken down, while Azhdaha, the “Lord of Vishaps,” offers rare rewards once a week. Once you’re done with all of that, you can even take a glimpse at what’s coming even further in the future. A few select pieces of concept art for Inazuma, the third major city and region of Genshin Impact, have also been revealed to fans, which you can check out below.
