Developer HoYoverse revealed the character & weapon banners as well as events for the second phase of Genshin Impact Version 4.0. Proceed to the official site or check out all the details below so you can decide what to do you with your Primogems! Version 4.0 Phase 2 kicks off on September 5th.
The first phase of the first patch of Fontaine introduced two new characters: 5-star Lyney and 4-star Lynette. While we are in for reruns when it comes to 5-stars, Phase 2 still has a new face: Freminet. The youngest brother among the Magician siblings, this Cryo Claymore lad made a few appearances in Fontaine trailers and cinematics so far. Those who have played through the Archon Quest also got a chance to briefly meet him as he conversed with Lyney.
Genshin Impact Version 4.0 Phase 2 Banners:
- 5-star characters: Zhongli (Geo Polearm) & Tartaglia (Hydro Bow).
- 4-star characters: Sayu (Anemo Claymore), Noelle (Geo Claymore), Freminet (Cryo Claymore).
It’s Claymore town, everyone! When it comes to the weapon banner, players can expect to find Zhongli’s and Childe’s respective signature weapons as well as a number of great 4-star options:
- 5-star weapons: Vortex Vanquisher (Polearm) & Polar Star (Bow).
- 4-star weapons: The Flute (Sword), Sacrificial Greatsword (Claymore), Dragon’s Bane (Polearm), The Widsith (Catalyst), and Rust (Bow).
Genshin Impact Version 4.0 Phase 2 Events:
- Verdict of Blades (September 4 to September 19) – complete challenges to obtain Primogems, Character Talent Materials and other rewards. Once the event starts, new challenges will unlock each day.
- Studies in Light and Shadow: A Fontaine of Enchantment (September 14 to September 25). Use special Kamera to record various sights and scenes. Achieve the Photo Record objectives to obtain Primogems, Character Talent Materials and other rewards. Requires unlocking any Statue of The Seven in Fontaine.
- Ley Line Overflow (September 18 to September 25) – during the event, successfully challenge a Blossom of Wealth or Blossom of Revelation and consume Original Resin to double your rewards.
