Developer HoYoverse is about to kick off the second phase of Version 4.2: Masquerade of the Guilty for anime action-adventure Genshin Impact. Players are in for new character & weapon banners, events, and more. It will be running right up until the release of Version 4.3 on December 20th.
While the first phase let players wish on new characters Furina and Charlotte, the second half of the patch features a rerun of beloved characters, be they 4-stars or 5-stars. Sumeru’s General Mahamatra Cyno (Electro Polearm) returns alongside Inazuma’s Kamisato Ayato (Hydro Sword). The featured 4-star lineup includes Xiangling (Pyro Polearm), Kuki Shinobu (Electro Sword) and Kirara (Dendro Sword).
The weapon banner has a solid lineup, especially for new players. In addition to Cyno’s and Ayato’s signature weapons, Staff of the Scarlet Sands and Haran Geppaku Futsu, it features Lion’s Roar (Sword), Favonius Greatsword (Claymore), Favonius Lance (Polearm), The Widsith (Catalyst), and Favonius Warbow (Bow).
Genshin Impact – Version 4.2 Phase 2 Events Include:
- Lil’ Fungi’s Fun-Tastic Fiesta event (December 6 – December 18). In a corner of the Quartier Lyonnais, an old friend has set up a booth, and is promoting an improved tabletop game. Among Fontainians, who rarely see Fungi, this game is quite novel indeed.
- Ley Line Overflow (December 11 – December 18). Blossoms of Wealth and Blossoms of Revelation yield double rewards.
- Genius Invokation TCG Heated Battle Mode: Tactical Formation. November 25 to December 11.
Additonally, Version 4.2’s flagship event Thelxie’s Fantastic Adventures is still underway and will remain available through December 11.
During the event, the following gameplay modes will unlock in sequence: Motherboard Troubleshooting, Record of the Search for Glory, and Purgation Counterstrike. Each offers its unique gameplay on the way to earn some Thelxie’s Badges. Acquiring a certain amount then allows you to invite Freminet to join your party – or to get a free Constellation for this diver.
