Geralt, The Witcher, to Appear in a Different Game This Year?

Ever want to see The Witcher’s Geralt outside of his game series? Your wish may be coming true sooner than you think. Marcin Momot, the Community manager with CD Projekt Red, dropped somewhat of a bombshell on Twitter today. Here is what he went on file as saying.

What does this mean? Well, this means that Geralt will be seen somewhere other than a Witcher game this year. The main game that seems like the best fit would be Soul Calibur 6. Bandai Namco has always been friendly to guest characters in their games. More important than that, the game is supposed to release sometime this year.

The character may show up in other games such as, Injustice 2, Monster Hunter World, and possibly even the PC version of Final Fantasy XV. Each of these games, at one point or another, has introduced characters or themes into their games. This is a great way to cross-advertise and builds up hype for other games.

One thing is for sure though, CD Projekt Red Studios have gone on record saying that the Witcher universe is done. They are working on newer games right now. Their games have always been good for hours and hours of entertainment. We can only hope that their new games do the same for us as The Witcher Universe did. Only time will tell what the end destination for Geralt will be.
