Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island has a release date and the upcoming friend ‘em up is coming to PC in Summer 2024.
Whitethorn Games, the publisher behind the adorable likes of Calico and Wytchwood, just announced a release date for the mythical summer getaway Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island. Players looking to explore the shores of an idyllic location with a very different population will be able to take in the views, explore ancient temples, and befriend the gods.
The latest adventure form Whitethorn is a gorgeous looking nonviolent tale of mystery and mythos. Players arriving on Ambrosia will take on the role of backpacker Alex, who is stranded on these sandy shores. As Alex begins to look around, it’s obvious that she isn’t alone. The island is populated by the gods of Greek myth and legend! However, something is amiss – the gods are unable to remember who they are. As you might have guessed, there is a mystery to unravel and some gods to help before Aalex gets to go home. A wealth of environmental puzzles, narrative choices, and interesting inhabitants await, with plenty of time for the developers to polish it.
“We 100% support this new extended development timeline for Mythwrecked,” said Dr. Matthew White, CEO of Whitethorn Games. “We value our developers and will do whatever we can to support them as they fulfil the true visions they have for their games. Working with the team at Polygon Treehouse is a joy, and we’ll continue to provide the resources they need to create the game they set out to make.”
With a trailer to tide us over, I guess this summer getaway has to wait. You can find out more about Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island on the official Steam Store page now.
