Lemnis Gate has just kicked off a PC closed beta test battling for the future, past, and present of arena based shooters. The new title coming out of Frontier Foundry is set to try something very different, taking the linear approach of most hero shooters and turning the entire experience into a tactical real time warping experience. Taking control of various deep space specialists who come armed to the teeth, players picking up Lemnis Gate will run through a range of arenas in 25 second time loops. Thinking one, two, or ten steps ahead, each 25 second turn provides the opportunity to set a trap, blow away an opponent before they arrive, or be utterly confused by the battle as it unfolds.
