After an initial copyright registration revealed the existence of Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered back in May this year, we’ve not had a ton of detail about this title’s progress. The remaster of the Ghostbusters video game adventure comes around 10 years after it first hit our screens This particular title is seen by many Ghostbusters fans as the original four paranormal investigator’s unofficial third film. After development hell blighted a third round of ghost wrangling by the four fictional New York heroes, a voice cast including Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, and Ernie Hudson returned to provide a truly authentic experience for fans that took control of the Ghostbusters back in 2009.
He Slimed Me
Now, 25 years after the original Ghostbusters film hit movies screens, publisher Saber Interactive and Mad Dog Games is giving the game a good once over and sending Venkman, Stantz, Spengler, and Zeddemore back out to capture more ghosts. The title follows the team as they train a new Rookie for busting duties. Set two years after a river of slime almost engulfed their home city, This third-person adventure allows players to take control of the rookie character and use a variety of experimental proton tools to get past a variety of apparitions. While a new threat to the real world looms, players can try out upgrades to their new proton slingers such as the Shock Blast, Slime Blower (positively charged) and a Meson Collider.
Fans of the franchise will find lots of characters they remember from the series as well as a familiar foe waiting in the wings.
