Ghostrunner Gets A Festive Winter DLC

Owners of a very different type of cyberpunk adventure are about to get festive as they slice their way through the new Ghostrunner Winter DLC, out now.

Available right now for PC this new addition to Ghostunner might not change the entire experience but it will add a bunch of new shiny so you can look the part while overthrowing the system once more. PC Players of 505 Games’ recent platforming marvel aren’t the only ones to get this end of year add on. Anybody who owns Ghositrunner on the Playstation 4 or Xbox One will be able to grab the DLC come 17 December, with the Nintendo Switch following up on 14 Jan 2021.

What’s In The Stocking

The new Ghostrunner winter DLC is an entirely cosmetic affair, dropping in a bunch of winter skins alongside a totally free hardcore mode for anybody that didn’t think the game was hard enough the first time around. Cyborg ninjas can spruce up the old killing spree with a Cold Snap Katana and a crimson Cold Blood Glove set of skins that will only set you back a couple of dollars on the respective storefronts.

If your ninja doesn’t have pockets then you’ll be able to jump into the new free hardcore mode too. All owners of Ghostrunner on PC will be able to use all their skill and upgrades to tackle altered levels and tougher enemies from the beginning, for an even more difficult experience and lots more death. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners can take on the free hardcore update on 17 December with no word on this addition for the Nintendo Switch.

You can check out the new skins above and let us know if you beat hardcore mode because I am just not that good. If you’ve not checked out the base game yet then have a squint at our review of Ghostrunner before you dive into yet another neon-lit future dystopia.
