A Gigantic relaunch is coming when the unique MOBEA comes to PlayStation and Xbox on 9 April.
Gearbox has announced that Gigantic is back! Not long after we saw a PC playtest of the distinctive arena adventure reboot onto PC, Gigantic: Rampage Edition is set to launch on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on April 9, 2024, at around £16.99 / 19,99 €. The refreshed version of the title is poised to bring an enhanced experience to those used to this title. That includes a new game mode, cross platform play, new heroes, new maps, and gameplay improvements.
This vibrant world add two new faces to the roster of establish champions. Roland, A world-hardened man, who lost his arm, but gained unparalleled reach, and Kajir, a flexible feline, are poised to do battle. The world of Gigantic expands too. Picaro Bay and Heaven’s Ward will add two distinctly different locations where players will go 5v5 to overcome their friends and rivals.
Gigantic might sound like a MOBA with a neat skin, but this inventive twist on the likes of SMITE put players in a series of maps, supported by a powerful Guardian. In an effort to capture the map and take down the enemy Guardian, these huge game changers could come out on the attack to assist their team.
This traditional match play will return in the Clash game mode, while a new Rush game and custom match lobbies will be available. With the promise of no micro transactions, free post launch content, a full progression system, and cross play, the gigantic relaunch sounds pretty impressive. We will have to wait and see if they’ve smoothed out all the bugs from the previous test, but I’m happy to see this get another chance either way. If you feel the same then take a trip over to the official Steam Store page. Closed Beta Testing via Steam for Gigantic: Rampage Edition kicks off soon off this Thursday, February 22 at 12:00pm PST and end on Friday, February 23 at 9:00am PST. Aside from powerful Guardians, it also provides a chance for prospective champions to try out some of these new features and be part of the action.
