Glyph, the charming platform puzzler from Bolverk Games, gets a PC release today.
Bolverk Games is porting its spherical platform adventure, Glyph, onto PC today. Due to arrive on the Team storefront later today, Glyph is a charming indie adventure that takes players on a quest to restore an ancient civilisation. However, rather than guide the last remaining survivor or an inquisitive archaeologist this title puts players in control of a mechanical scarab. What sounds odd, is actually a refreshing take on the age-old platformer, providing a different way to navigate a range of environments.
Among the waves of machines gone mad, this little golden ball of hope uses momentum as a powerful force of change. Curling up into something akin to Marbell madness, Glyph weaves up and around the horizon. This isn’t the only ability on offer here, but this indie hit is definitely all about high-speed manoeuvres and catching lots of air. A total of 80+ levels are available in exploration mode, as well as an end game boss to overcome. More than 100 secrets are stashed away across the deserts o this world and speedrunners can try their hand, not hat Glyph has hands, at 30 tried and tested speed run levels.
While we might be used to indie titles coming to PC first and then porting onto other platforms, Glyph is going the other way and there are some definite benefits to PC players. While this game probably won’t require the processing power of an RTX or even AMD’s latest, Glyph’s initial release on Nintendo Switch eventually saw some modifications to the difficulty curve to ease in new players. The improvements in new player experience and general quality of life change are something we can expect for the PC release of this well-received title today. You can check out more about Glyph over on the official Steam page now and grab a 15% launch discount too.
