Rockstar is continuing to add new things for budding Naturalists to do in Red Dead Online. This week is no exception with a new Legendary Animal to track down and either capture for Harriet or to kill for Gus. In addition, there are lots of new additions to the Wheeler, Rawson, & Co. Catalogue and some sweet bonuses for Naturalists and those who tie their Rockstar Games Social Club account to their Prime Gaming account.
Naturalists are charged this week with tracking and hunting down the Legendary Banded Gator. This formidable beast is located near Saint Denis. Harriet can provide more specific details. Naturalists of Rank 5 and above should be the only ones hunting this critter as it has a “taste for human flesh and the teeth and temperament to satisfy such a craving”. In other words, it’s not for the faint of heart.
Those working most closely with Harriet can sedate the creature to get samples. Those working with Gus can kill it and bring its skin to Gus so he can craft an “imposing coat for wear”. Bringing the skin to Gus unlocks the Banded Coat. Those crafting one this week will also get a Reward for a free Vest as well as a second Reward for 25 free Trader Goods. Those crafting a trinket in Gus’s shop also earn a free Poncho.
A new week isn’t a new week without updates to RDO’s Wheeler, Rawson, & Co. Catalogue. This week’s additions include new Colorways, new items, and a pair of limited-time-only items. It never pays to wait.
Lastly, Naturalists can take 5 Gold Bars off the price of the Animal Field Guide, Legendary Animal Map, and Sample Kit. In addition, they’re also offered 30% off Novice and Promising Naturalist Items and the Improved Bow.
