Back in June, the gaming world got a first glimpse of the God Eater 3 characters. Since then the Ash storm has been silent. Now, Bandai Namco has confirmed that this battle for the future of humanity will start again in early 2019.
God Eater first hit consoles back in 2010 and puts players in the shoes of several teenage conscripts. Bound to a great burden and tremendous power, known as God Arcs, these God Eaters battle a race of lumbering monstrosities that plague mankind, called the Aragami. Since the release of the very first God Eater on the PSP, there have been multiple iterations of the franchise, steadily increasing in scale with flashier moves, more instances, and bigger Aragami.
While the Japanese release of God Eater 3 is set for 13th December, we do not have any more specific information on the exact release date of this adventure in Western shores. We can, however, expect it to arrive on PlayStation 4 and PC, via Steam. The team behind the dystopian franchise also let loose a brand new trailer which reveals a little more about this particular story. While the basic pretence hasn’t really changed much, these young heroes look like they will be fighting for every little bit of freedom they can muster, from the Aragami and their human compatriots. If you’ve been waiting for God Eater 3, you can find out more about it on the official website.
