PlayStation Europe uploaded a new video showcasing the new Weapon that Kratos will be wielding in the upcoming God of War 4 game which is releasing on PS4 April 20th. The video highlights the reason for the weapon change, how combat will function and some of the many customization options that will come in the form of runes on the weapon.
The video highlights of some Kratos new devastating attacks and most notably a new throw and retrieve function (think Thor’s Hammer) that is being introduced with the Leviathan Axe. It’s an interesting mechanic and after seeing it and the new combat systems in play has definitely perked my interest in this new GOW title.
The game has already rolled into gold status and is currently in mass production for its April 20th release. God of War 4 is a bit of a departure for the earlier titles in the franchise and promises to introduce a host of new features and mechanics to the gameplay experience.
