Remember scaring the bejeezus out of yourself reading R.L. Stine’s Goosebumps books back when you were a grade school kid? If so, the news that a brand new survival horror game based on the wildly popular franchise is coming soon should come as welcome news. Scholastic, Sony Pictures Consumer Products, and Cosmic Forces have announced that Goosebumps Dead of Night will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC later this summer.
“Slappy the Dummy has stolen the pages from classic Goosebumps tales, unleashing a nightmare of legendary monsters who are out to get you! Discover the missing pages and avoid getting caught by terrifying creatures like the Graveyard Ghoul, Lawn Gnomes, Annihilator 3000, Murder the Clown, and the Werewolf of Fever Swamp to banish these baddies back to the page. Explore infamous Goosebumps locales for clues, sneak around and hide from monsters, and solve Slappy’s devious puzzles, but beware—you never know what’s lurking around the corner…”
According to press information, the game builds on the mobile VR game, Goosebumps Night of Scares, by providing players with stealth gameplay, enhanced HD graphics, new chapters, new monsters, improved AI, and much more.
