Rogue Piñatas: VRmageddon Launches across VR headsets on 6 February 2025.

Nerd Ninjas has announced that the most cheerful disaster is coming for Earth. After a birthday party goes horribly wrong, the Piñatas revolt. It’s up to you and your friends to slip on a VR headset then smash, bash, and decimate throngs of paper invaders. Players will be able to grab the roguelike action adventure across Steam and Meta Quest storefronts, then take on a bright fight where Vampire Survivors meet Dead Rising. Pick your weapon, party up, and launch into an action roguelike where you won’t want the VR end of days to stop.

The news of this brilliant bash dropped alongside a silly trailer for the co-op adventure. If you haven’t caught earlier announcements, there’s still plenty of time to practice your swing and clear some space in the front room. Check out the teaser to see what carnage is about to ensure, as you pick from one of 6 post apocalypse survivors and tread out into local suburbs and treacherous deserts. Each character gets their own unique perks and starting weapon. You and up to 3 other friends will be able to loot gorge on the candied loot inside your enemy and slot in upgrades for the big bosses at the end of the fight. Smash together new and silly weapons like the Funder Drone, unlocked by combining the Funderbuss weapon with a Defense Drone. Load up with the right mix of players, weapons, and ingenious gadget to defeat monstrous Mega Piñatas like massive hamster boss at the end of stage 2. Check that challenge in the artwork at the top of the page.

“From the beginning, our goal was to create crazy, stupid fun. We knew we wanted something wildly imaginative and too addicting to put down and that’s when the idea of hordes of vengeful piñatas hit!” said Nate Chatellier, founder and CEO of Nerd Ninjas. “From that concept, we asked ourselves if we were caught in world-ending chaos, what would be lying around in your garage that you could MacGyver together into a brilliantly absurd weapon? Our imagination rolled into crafting unique gameplay that makes you feel godlike as you face relentless enemies, all set in the mind-blowingly immersive world of VR. It’s ridiculous, it’s intense, and it’s everything we love about gaming cranked to 11!

I cannot express how ridiculously brilliant this upcoming experience seems, so I’ll be trying to leap in myself as son as possible. If you’re ahead of me then VR gamers can wishlist now on the official Meta Quest page or Steam Store page now.
