Developer Spiders is back with a new blog post for the upcoming narrative-driven party RPG GreedFall 2: The Dying World. The game acts as an indirect prequel to the original GreedFall, with the events taking place 3 years before the journey of De Sardet. Where before you played as a mainlander who arrived on Teer Fradee, this time you play as a native whisked to the continent.
“GreedFall 2’s story will lead you to discover the world around you and interact with the environment, and the characters and creatures that inhabit it. From beginning to end, the game will offer a wide range of choices that will have an impact on your adventure and will allow you to adapt and develop your game experience as you wish.”
Your character comes from Vígéshvár, a lake village from Teer Fradee. It is up to you to set up your character’s appearance, choosing from several customization options such as gender, skin color, voice, hair, etc. You can also pick your character’s class by selecting the path, weapon mastery and skills that suit you best.
“Whether you want to turn your character into a nimble-fingered engineer, a skilled diplomat or a master alchemist, it’s up to you to choose the talents that will give you many additional interaction options across your journey, allowing you to experience the world as you see fit.”
Whenever you level up, you’ll have access to new skill points that can be spent on different trees to further develop and build your character according to your chosen playstyle. In combat, combine your skills with those of your companions, adopt more defensive or offensive postures, and create combos that respond to different combat situations. You can also personalize your companions and use their bonus talents.
