GreedFall 2: The Dying World, the upcoming project from developer Spiders, will be launching in Steam Early Access in September. To prepare players for what’s to come, the team shared a new trailer dedicated to the contents of the game.
“Prepare to return to the world of GreedFall in an all-new adventure set three years before the original game. This time, you’ll step into the shoes of a Native from Teer Fradee as you explore the mysterious and foreign old continent of Gacane.”
The events of the game begin in 1231, three years before the events of GreedFall and the adventures of De Sardet. In The Dying World, players get to chance to feel what it’s like to be a native of Teer Fradee. But, just as you are about to complete your initiation rite and become a sage, you get abducted to the old continent, Gacane. It is up to you to seek passage back to your homeland while also thwarting the plans of your kidnappers.
The developers promise an opportunity to explore the Old Continent, its crowded cities and various landscapes shaped by the different factions, cultures and traditions that have inhabited them over the centuries. You will also have to decide where you stand when you get dragged into their conflict.
