This utterly charming adventure from 505 games and Prideful sloth might have sprouted onto PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and PC back in 2021, but anybody looking to keep a copy with them can grab this indie for £19.99 or local equivalent.
While the physical release might not contain andy in hand extras for fans of the game, Grow is a wholesome game that is entirely worth your time. The cute capers drops players into a world in need of some love and attention. As the last in a line of Everheart Alchemists, t’s up to players to learn the secrets of this art, tending to the many different biomes of the magical Evertreee and rebuilding the magic in the land. As you visit an ever-increasing range of instances, you’ll use an array of tools to clear, grow, tend to, and rebuild the great outdoors and push back an insidious rot.
As you pick through this nonlinear set of tasks, Grow switches to a slice of life sim. As the town below the magical Evertree flourishes you’ll need to build shops, employ newcomers, and get to know the new residents of this town. With a unique world, a gorgeous art style and a fantastic soundtrack by anime composer, Kevin Penkin, Grow: Song of the Evertree is a great way to chill out wherever your Switch goes.
