It’s been a spooky week but things it looks like the release of Marvel’s Guardians of the galaxy hasn’t given the UK Chart stalwarts too much of a scare this week.
Releasing across PC and console over last week, Marvel’s Guardians of the galaxy debuted in the UK video game retail charts at number 2 this week, beating out most of the market but failing to shift FIFA22 from the top spot. While the massive new comic book adventure from Square Enix landed across numerous digital storefronts and will likely have done a ton of number EA’s has always been a major name in the retail sales.
- FIFA 22
- MARVEL’S GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY
- MARIO PARTY SUPERSTARS
- FAR CRY 6
- MARIO KART 8 DELUXE
- ANIMAL CROSSING: NEW HORIZONS
- MINECRAFT
- RIDERS REPUBLIC
- GRAND THEFT AUTO V
- SUPER MARIO 3D WORLD + BOWSER’S FURY
This isn’t the only new entry that has done Groot over the last week. Mario party Superstars is another new release featuring the little red suited plumber that jumped into the UK charts at number 3. Nintendo’s own hero usually does well in the charts, with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe still holding in at the middle of the UK top 10. With just one other new entry, in Ubisoft’s outdoor sport sim Republic Riders, this week marks one more rotation with a strong Nintendo presence and just a few new names among the usual faces in the UK charts.
