Guild Wars 2: End Of Dragons Is Going To The Echovald Wilds

ArenaNet just gave us a look at a new location coming to Guild Wars 2: End Of Dragons, The Echovald Wilds.

For those of you waiting for the upcoming End of Dragons release, ArenaNet just gave the player base a first glimpse at a brand new area coming to Cantha. Situated somewhere on this mysterious island, the Echovald Wilds is the largest forest in Cantha and has grown from a humble beginnings into a vast and dangerous realm where chaos towers over everything else. Giving us more than a description, developer ArenaNet has also dropped a trailer for the new region. You can watch it above to get a glimpse glimpse of an environment that is distinctly different from other recent reveals and a not quite as wild looking as Maguma Jungle.

While this is a brand new region, the Echovald Forest featured prominently in Guild Wars, back when Cantha wasn’t cut off, and had its own dark history. With its roots throughout Tyrian history, the Echovald Wilds should be a welcome return for players both old and new.

This is just the latest reveal of late and if you missed the recent specialization beta tests then we had some hands on impressions of the Specter, The Untamed, and the Mechanist additions ahead of their final launch date. With the release of Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons AenaNet is finally taking Guild Wars 2 back to the much beloved island of Cantha and looks set to round out the tale of Tyria versus the monumental force of the Elder Dragons. Due to release on February 2022 and introducing everything from new character specializations and multi player mounts, to the unique lore of Cantha, Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons should be a triumphant moment for this well regarded MMORPG.

This Friday at 12 pm PT, ArenaNet will be hosting a gameplay preview of the new location. If you want to catch it, check out the Guild Wars 2 Twitch channel or the official website for more detail.
