Guild Wars 2 The Icebrood Saga Episode 5 is set to step forward into battle and bring us a little closer to Primordus when Balance lands on 9 March.
Following on from some previous preparations, the latest episode in Guild Wars 2’s episodic updates will find players just inches from a cataclysmic face off with yet another Elder Dragon. Just like Truce and Power, players entering the fray next week will find a bunch of new Dragon Response missions ahead of them and new allies to rally to the cause.
New Dangers
Three additional Dragon Response missions will arrive as part of the new add-on, giving players an opportunity to save the citizens of Caledon Forest, Bloodtide Coast, and Fireheart Rise from the destruction as both Jormag and Primordus close in around this once peaceful world. While we’re busy trying to usher citizens out of danger, Braham will find himself pushed ever closer to his eventual fate as the Spirits of the Wild urge him onwards to the rest of Jormag’s molars.
A brand-new faction will set into rank during Balance, with the mysterious Tengu ready to take up arms, but only if you put in the hard work to convince them. Three additional factions will become available after the episode releases, with a new one arriving every two weeks until April 20. All this hard effort won’t go unnoticed and the epic looking Dragonslayer weapons reach their own crescendo this time around with a new tier. While the sharp sparkles are busy bestowing their ultimate power to warriors, a new unique Skritt scepter will sparkle alluringly for those who desire more shiny baubles for their weapon inventory too.
If you’re ready to take on Primordus, you’ll have to possibly wait a little longer. The next chapter of Episode 5, yes remember this is technically Guild Wars 2: The Icebrood Saga Episode 5, Chapter 3 — “Balance”, called “Judgement”, will launch in late April 2021.
