Bandai Namco and Look North World bring the latest Gundam show to a whole new set of screens today. Players in online arena builder Fortnite can get in a Gundam and play out their robot bashing dreams today. Inspired by the explosive new Netflix animated series, the Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance: Red vs Blue team battle brings up to 20 players to battle it out for the glory of Zeon or the survival of the Earth Federation Forces.
Whether you side with the spacenoids or not, this new game mode is more than just a flashy advertisement. Players heading into action will select their battlefield and deploy into a base of operations. Equip what you can and loot the rest to unlock a range of popular weapons in each faction’s armory. Collect enough MS Reactor Power from caches, and a faction specific Mobile Suit powers up. Pilots who leap into this metallic behemoth will get to experience a new view of war, as they pilot either the Gundam EX or ZAKU II and turn the tide of each encounter.
Brining Gundam into Fortnite is a little unexpected, especially since we already have Gundam Vs to play. Bandai, however, seem to be set on impressing with this release:

Players who take the most vengeance on their enemies will climb the global leaderboards and be entered to win Vbucks and Gunpla model kits from Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance, with leaderboards resetting each week.
