The Witcher card game has yet another story to tell today as the new Price of Power expansion set, Harvest of Sorrow launches.
Available today, and dealing out adventure on PC, Apple M1 Macs, iOS, and Android, the Harvest of Sorrow is just the latest part of the Price of Power campaign released as part of Gwent’s continuing tale of men and monsters. This free expansion set marks the conclusion of the Price of Power arc and includes a range of new cards, stories, ornaments, avatars, skins, and more.
A total of 26 new cards enter the deck as part of the new update, including four of differing rarities per faction and two neutrals. Rare cards like, Bountiful Harvest allow players to Create and play a bronze Dol Blathanna Elf, boosting their forces. Anybody lucky enough to draw the Filavandrel aén Fidháil card will be able to rely on a Scoia’tael special that might very well turn the tide of battle. These are just a couple of the new cards that await and are just part of this new adventure.
The plot for this expansion focuses on the Valley of Flowers, where summer is coming to an end, and with it the time of joy and carelessness. Merciless winds are blowing from the north, bringing fire and the echo of marching armies along with them, yet hope still remains in those who have managed to survive the slaughter. If you survive this tale, then gory and rewards await. Alternatively, you can still buy the Price of Power Expansion Pass for 30% off, which bundles in all 117 cards from the entire expansion set, including Premium cards, 21 ornaments comprising 8 avatars, a game board, a cardback, the brand new Octavia Hale ‘Witchfinder’ leader skin, and the animated Pyre coin.
You can watch the launch trailer above and grab the new expansion in Gwent now.
