H1Z1 King of the Kill Devs Ready to Kick Off $1M Global Tournament

During the three day event in Atlanta, tournament players can take part in solo or team play. Solo winners will split a $100,000 prize pool while 5-player winning teams will share $250,000.

During the event, players will be dropped into a map via parachute where they will begin the hunt for weapons and armor. All this is done while searching for other players to remove from the competition. During the event, the maps shrinks over time in order to bring competitors into closer proximity to one another.

“The Elite Series shines a spotlight on the skill and passion of our players from around the world,” said Mark Tuttle. “There is nothing that can match the scale or intensity of an H1Z1 tournament. We are excited to continue to develop this new genre of esports.”

Other tournaments will take place in 2017 including locations in Europe, Asia and Latin America. Each will feature the same $250,000 prize pool.
