Halo Wars 2 gameplay is just about as classic RTS as you can get. It’s clear that Creative Assembly and 343 didn’t want to eschew the traditions of the genre all that much with this entry. And that’s a good thing. The action and polish is top notch, with fantastic controls and a very interesting story even for non-Halo fans. Take a look at the first 20 minutes of the game’s campaign. It’s basically the first mission. Tell us it doesn’t look like fun.
We’ll have our own review of the game in the next week or so, but Halo Wars 2 launches on February 21st, and reviews are already starting to crop up across the globe. Keep your eyes peeled!

Definitely going to have to play it, love the genre. I’ll have to wait until it hits a sale though.

Yeah, verdict is out on whether it’s worth $60. Tough genre for full price, even with that IP.
