Handygames, has just picked up the gorgeous looking platform adventure Scarf, with a release planned for later this year.
Publisher Handygams, who brought us, Chicken Police and One Hand Clapping, has just announced that they are releasing the colorful action platformer Scarf. After developer Uprising Studios announced the game to the world back in 2018 the Handygames team is set to bring this cute caper to PC via Steam. Scarf has been part of the THQ stable since its initial announcement but this news marks a significant s step to that final release window.
For those that missed Scarf when we all wanted hands on during the last convention season, Scarf is a cute platforming tale starring a featureless avatar and a magical creature that has the ability to shape-shift. Shaped like a shawl, it wraps itself around our little hero as players trundle through a huge range of environments, to take it home.
As you explore this bright new single player adventure, the eponymous Scarf and its companion will overcome environmental obstacles, and follow the souls who stole the keys to finding the scarf’s home. As the game unfolds, the bond between the player and Scarf will grow, unlocking a number of new abilities. By the time you’re on the cusp of completion, expect to be able to glide, hook and slingshot around the world.
We’re were instantly drawn to Scarf when we got to have a look back in 2018 and this adorable upcoming title definitely gave me Rime vibes. If you’re looking for a taste of what’s to come, check out the trailer above and head over to the official Steam Store page to wishlist Scarf now.
