Harvest Moon: Light of Hope Special Edition Complete is a return for publisher Natsume’s frivolous life building series and it’s about to bring adventure to Playstation 4 and Nintendo Switch on 30 July.
Coming hot on the heels of Harvest Moon: Light of Hope Special Edition, this particular edition of the game combines all the extras from the Special Edition release of this title and all the game’s optional DLC. After launching last year, the aforementioned edition was something of a surprise success for Natsume. Now, players who haven’t boarded for a new world can get the full experience in one discrete package.
A New World
Harvest Moon: Light of Hope Special Edition Complete follows players as their ship is hit by a monsoon. Washed up in a small harbor town, it is up to players to rebuild the shantytown and save the ailing lighthouse that sits atop the shoreline. As you’d expect from the Harvest Moon series, this iteration allows players to grow crops, tend livestock, and make lots of new friends as they save their new home.
Like all Harvest Moon games, this title is a cute top-down sim that marries a charming aesthetic with the life building mechanics we’ve already experienced across the franchise. Whether there is room for another edition of any game in the Harvest Moon series is hard to say but it is a good deal. Players can pick up Harvest Moon: Light of Hope Special Edition Complete both digitally and physically. It will be available through major retailers, the PlayStation Store, and Nintendo eShop for $29.99, including DLC worth around $18. You can find out more on the official Natsume site.
