Have A Perfect day In Sumire

Prepare to pack up and head out on the perfect trip as Japanese indie Sumire lands on Apple Macs.

Not content with introducing PC and Nintendo Switch owners to the joys of a perfect day, indie developer GameTomo has dropped Sumire on Macs. Now available via Steam and the Apple App Store, Sumire is a cute quest that follows a young girl on a trip out to have the best day possible. Embarking out at first light, players take control of the central protagonist and encounter a magical flower spirit. What follows is a trip through a breathtaking Japanese mountain village, filled with awe inspiring vistas. These storybook visuals combine with a sweeping soundtrack to take players on a relaxing adventure, making friends, conquering fears, and generally living their best life.

While this all sounds a little light touch, players that were drawn into games like Grow: Song of the Evertree and its laid back take on town building will likely love this mix of magic and mundane. Players picking up Sumire will create chances for new friendships with plants, animals, and perhaps a statue or two. As the day shifts from dawn to dusk, reflect on love in its many forms, including the often overlooked realities of relationships soured by conflict, loss, or things unsaid.

Sumire is out now on Mac via Steam and the App Store for $9.99 alongside a free demo, and coming to iOS Spring 2022. Sumire is also currently available on PC via Steam, and on the Nintendo Switch Online Shop. You can check out the trailer above to get a glimpse of Sumire’s perfect day.
