Tales of Arise, the latest in the Tales of series, just got a brand new animated trailer and it is breathtakingly good.
Fans of the Tales of Series might have already picked up this highly rated JRPG, but Bandai Namco isn’t done releasing trailers for the title. In a surprise, the publisher dropped a brand new animated trailer for Tales of Arise more than 4 months after it landed on western shores, but it was kind of worth the wait. The trailer, which you can catch above, invites players to “Discover – or rediscover – the origin of Tales of Arise in this new Introduction Animation by ufotable!”, and covers details about the land of Dahna, the plague that has fallen upon it, as well as central characters Alphen and Vholran.
It’s reasonable to say that we’re not surprised that this trailer looks fantastic, and anime fans will probably recognize the stylized work of ufotable. This fully animated trailer comes out of the same studio that produced Fate/stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works, and Fate/Zero, which this trailer seems to draw on. Ufotable has worked on the Tales of series before, as well as Demon Slatyer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, and a whole host of other major series. So you’ll probably be familiar with their work. While the trailer doesn’t flag any intention for the Tale of Arise game to get an animated spin off, the narrative of the core game is worth experiencing for yourself. Tales of Arise is already available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. You can find out more about the game in our Tales of Arise review or over on the official website now.
