The Darkside Detective is getting ready to go six feet under with news of a festive DLC, Ghosts of Christmas Passed.
While Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the dark might have wrapped up another spooky series of misadventures for us several months ago, developer Spooky Doorway isn’t done with Detective McQueen quite yet. The most unlikely ghost hunters, and even more unexpected crimefighting duo, of Officer Dooley and the aforementioned McQueen, are coming over for the festive season when the new DLC case lands across PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, Stadia, and Nintendo Switch on 24 December at absolutely no extra cost.
While you’re busy counting the cost of a panicked trip to the nearest 7-Eleven with mere minutes until it’s jingle all the way, you’ll at least be able to escape the turkey for a free adventure. While we don’t know a ton about the new case file, publisher Akupara games did drop a trailer for the upcoming mystery with the promise of new jokes, pointing, clicking, and a rather ominous looking fate for Detective McQueen.
“Wait What?” said Detective McQueen in response to the exciting news.
This isn’t the only free case that’s landed in players laps his year, with a trio of extra add ons of late.
