Hell Let Loose Deploys To PS5 and Xbox Series X|S

Hell Let Loose Deploys to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in October, bringing the World War 2 strategic shooter to next-gen consoles.

Black Matter’s World War 2 shooter that blows the battlefield wide open is set to lock and load on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S|X consoles on 5 October 2021. The 50 vs 50 strategic shooters, published by team17, is set to bring the same large scale combat that tore across PC this summer over onto the next generation of console warfare. Moving away from small scale maps and battel royale scenarios, Hell Let loose is a look at the Western Front of World War II, featuring cross cross-play functionality throughout this shooter’s ten maps and two game modes.

Whether you’re picking up a rifle and heading into an offensive game mode or sniping your way through Warfare, there are plenty of roles to chose from in Hell Let Loose. Fourteen roles are available for players to experience, from engineers and snipers, commanders and tank crewmen, medics and support; all play a part in the war effort. That effort promises console owners a unique meta, with 50 players broken down into armour, infantry, and recon and a frontline experience that requires commanding officers that aren’t ready to simply rush the trenches.

Ahead of the console launch, PlayStation 5 owners can jump into battle as part of the upcoming Hell Let Loose Open Beta. This will run ahead of the full launch, between 16 – 20 September. Open beta will provide a brutal taste of war, as both sides fight for victory on the Hurtgen Forest map in a Warfare mode, which sees each side begin the battle occupying half of the map. From this point, it’s up to each side to pick their moment and conquer the remaining map. Hell Let Loose certainly doesn’t seem to be your normal run and gun operation, pre-orders are already ongoing. Xbox Series X|S orders open today from 6pm BST (10am PDT, 1pm BST, 7pm CST). Team17 have promised anybody who buys ahead of time on Xbox The Silver Vanguard cosmetic downloadable content. The Eastern Front maps of Stalingrad and Kursk, together with the Soviet forces, will also be introduced to the console versions as part of a free, post-launch update this winter.
