IO Interactive, in partnership with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, announced over the week that its upcoming game Hitman 2 will be adding a 1v1 competitive mode entitled Ghost.
Check out the breakdown of Ghost mode here:
The Hitman series has a storied history of players taking on the role of Agent 47 to execute daring hits. In Ghost Mode, Agent 47 will meet his greatest challenge yet: himself… well, himself as controlled by another player!
In order to win in Ghost Mode, you must secure five undetected hits to win the round. Players who fall behind their competition will have a limited time to take down their hit before that contract expires and they are forced to move on. You will have to use all of your wits and tricks (short of sabotage) to beat your opponent.
Hitman 2 will also feature a cooperative mode called Sniper Assassin. Within this mode, players will work together to track down and eliminate a target. Sniper Assassin is currently available to players who have pre-ordered Hitman 2.
While Ghost Mode will only be available within the Miami region of Hitman 2 at launch, it will expand to other regions post-launch. Hitman 2 launched on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on November 13th.
