IO Interactive has announced that the brand new single-player Hitman 3 Freelancer mode is nearly ready for testing. Steam players will be invited to join a technical test to try out Freelancer content and features in a few weeks. New features include roguelike elements, strategic planning, and a customizable safe house. On October 27th, the team has plans to reveal more about the technical test. Viewers will learn how players can get involved and what exact features they’ll be testing.
The Closed Technical Test is all about putting our servers under stress to prepare for launch. We also want to get an early idea of player behaviour and do some economy / XP balancing in a real-life scenario on a big scale. These are the final checkboxes we need to tick off before we launch.
The team also announced the release window for Freelancer. Players can look for this all-new way to play an old-favorite game on January 26, 2023. The best part is that it’s a free update for all players.

About Hitman 3
HITMAN 3 is the best place to play every game in the World of Assassination trilogy. If you’ve already played HITMAN 2 on Steam, the locations that you can access in that game will be converted into an ‘Access Pass’ for HITMAN 3 when you buy the latest game. The Access Pass DLCs will be applied to your account and the locations will be available and ready to play from the first time you launch the game.
