Studio Unfrozen, the developers of the upcoming turn-based strategy Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era, have shared an exciting announcement. After long wondering and many questions, the team announced the composers that are working on the project.
Paul Anthony Romero (many Might and Magic games, Everquest, and more), Cris Velasco (God of War, Starcraft II, Borderlands, Bloodborne, Mass Effect) and Mateusz Alberski with Heroes Orchestra are all adding their talents to the game.
“We are very proud to be able to bring this team together to create a unique music score that will not only honour the legacy of the series, but also embrace new sounds never heard throughout the games before. All of that combined with the fact that without you — our beloved community — none of this would be possible.
The composer team, together with Heroes Orchestra, will be working closely to deliver a completely unique sound to Olden Era, so you’ll be able to embrace the game in full and hopefully play it again and again.”
The team also answered fans’ most frequent questions regarding the soundtrack:
- Will the quality of sound be maintained? Unfrozen will be working together with the Maestros and Heroes Orchestra to ensure that the consistency and quality of sound will remain on par with what the fans are already used to;
- Will the soundtrack be available for download on any platform or in a physical edition? The developers will think of it closer to the Early Access release;
- Where will the tracks be present in the game? Same as in the previous games, you will find them as part of the ambience for respective terrain, in the towns, in combat and while waiting for your turn, etc.
- Will there be any remixes of the tracks from the previous Might and Magic games? Yes, along with the new music, there will be a few remixes from some of the previous games in the series.
- Who exactly is the author of the track in the music announcement video? This music track was composed by Paul Anthony Romero.
- Will there be choirs or all tracks will be purely instrumental? It is planned to be a mix of both.
