Developer HoYoverse has taken to the official HoYolab page to reveal what awaits players in Honkai: Star Rail once Seele’s turn comes to an end and gives way to Jing Yuan’s banner. Xianzhou Luofu’s General is the next limited 5-star character. He follows the Path of Erudition and deals Lightning damage.
If you are unsure if you want to pull for Jing Yuan without seeing him in action first, worry not! HSR will give you a chance to take him and the banners 4-stars for a spin in the trial event. You will also obtain Stellar Jades, Adventure Logs, Universal Enhancement Materials, and credits upon completing these challenges.
- Event Duration: May 17th to June 6th;
- Featured 5-star: Jing Yuan (Erudition, Lightning);
- Featured 4-stars: Tingyun (Harmony, Lightning), Sushang (Hunt, Physical), March 7th (Preservation, Ice).
If you are still hesitating whether Jing Yuan is the one to warp for, HoYoverse already teased the contents of the upcoming Honkai Star Rail Version 1.1 banners. They will feature Silver Wolf (5-star Nihility, Quantum), Luocha (5-star Abundance, Imaginary) and Yukong (4-star Harmony, Imaginary). Silver Wolf is a powerful debuffer, Luocha provides healing and the much-needed Imaginary damage while Yukong will be a sought-after support that also offers some Imaginary damage.
That said, Jing Yuan will be a powerful damage-dealer and he has amazing aesthetics and lore. So consider your Stellar Jades!
New character banner also means new Light Cones in the Brilliant Fixation banner, including Jing Yuan’s signature weapon “Before Dawn”.

If you have decided to spend your Jades on Jing Yuan and his featured 4-stars but don’t want to dabble in the weapon event banner, consider checking out the contents of Herta’s Store. For the special Simulated Universe currency, you can acquire three 5-star Light Cones: On the Fall of an Aeon (Destruction), Texture of Memories (Preservation) and Cruising in the Stellar Sea (the Hunt). You can also buy the special item that will let you Superimpose them and thus further increase their effectiveness.
Another alternative would be to visit the Messenger of the Forgotten Hall and shop “Light Cone Manifest” with Lucent Afterglow – a special currency that can be obtained by clearing the Forgotten Hall stages for the first time or by killing the weekly bosses in Echo of War. Doing Echoes of War also has a chance to drop a 4-star Light Cone.
