Developer HoYoverse rolled out a new character trailer for Honkai: Star Rail. It is dedicated to Jing Yuan, an upcoming playable 5-star hero (Erudition/Lightning) and one of the Seven Arbiter-Generals of the Xianzhou Alliance and a Charioteer of the Xianzhou Luofu. Titled ‘Heaven and Earth as a Chessboard’, it shows the General’s take on battlefields and board games alike. His apprentice Yanqing makes an appearance, too!
Previously, the devs also shared an animated short titled “A Flash”. The video offered a look at Jing Yuan’s past and his relationship with his mentor.
“A masterful chess player is not bound by limitations. They shall treat the earth as the board, and the stars as chess pieces. All movements and alternations are simply a part of their plan.”
If you want a refresher the lore of the Xianzhou, HoYoverse shared the Myriad Celestia Trailer dedicated to the Seven Arbiter-Generals of the Xianzhou (Jing Yuan is one of them) to bring players up to speed.
