HoyoVerse just dropped a new character trailer that introduces Jingliu
Unequalled by all that have come before. That’s some serious talk for the latest character to enter the arena in Honkai Star Rail. A new trailer just dropped for the latest character to arrive in Hoyo’s massive turn-based adventure. Already confirmed as part of the version 1.4 update through previous banner predications and content reveals, we now have a glimpse of how the character will arrive in game.
Once the Sword Champion of the Loufu, this powerful five-star character now treads a fine line between sanity and mara-struck, diligently pursuing the old aspirations of yesteryear. First detailed in a character introduction over on the official Hoyolab website, the ice focused team member doesn’t, at least initially, wield a blade like most swordsmiths. You’ll see what we mean in the new teaser.
While the new intro doesn’t give specifics demonstrations of Jingliu’s abilities, we do already know that her primary and secondary abilities all couple attack with ice damage. Her ultimate, Deals Ice DMG to one target and surrounding enemies. If Jingliu is in her ‘Transcendence’ state, she gains two stacks of ‘Moonlight’ after attacking. If not, she gains two stacks of ‘New Moon.’ Playing on the path of Destruction, this is likely to make Jingliu a very powerful addition to your team.
The trailer delves io into her current state and teases exactly what this new variable to our adventure actually wants from the Loufu. Friend of foe? You’ll have to find out when version 1.4 of Honkai Star Rail drops on PC and mobiles.
