Developer HoYoverse has been on hand to share the juiciest details about the upcoming content for Honkai: Star Rail. Version 1.6: Crown of the Mundane and Divine will land on December 27 with new banners, events, and more! Let’s check out what awaits players in the new update.

First things first, new and returning characters so you can allocate your Jade fund accordingly! Version 1.6 will add three new characters: 5-star Imaginary Hunt Dr. Ratio, 5-star Ice Harmony Ruan Mei and 4-star Quantum Destruction Xueyi. Additionally, two more Stellaron Hunters will see their re-runs: 5-star Wind Destruction Blade and 5-star Lightning Nihility Kafka.
The devs have already shared a glimpse forward at characters from Version 2.0… but now it’s time to take a glance back:
In 2023, Honkai: Star Rail won a number of exciting awards such as Apple’s App Store iPhone Game of the Year, Google Play’s Best Game, and The Game Awards’ Best Mobile Game. To celebrate, players will get a copy of Dr. Ratio for free! Make sure to unlock the Mail function to not miss out!

Honkai: Star Rail – Version 1.6 Events
Following the events of Fyxestroll Garden, Trailblazers will return to Herta Space Station and encounter Madam Ruan Mei outside of the Simulated Universe for the very first time. Her experiments will provide players with plenty new content to tackle, from fierce battles in the Seclusion Zone, to the new DLC for the Simulated Universe, and more!
- New Trailblaze Continuance Mission – Crown of the Mundane and Divine.
- Critter Pick Event – Delectable little critters are zapping all over the space station. And the responsibility of looking after them has fallen onto your shoulders.
- Simulated Universe: Gold and Gears. Herta and others have added a new algorithmic branch to the Expansion Module. This time, they have simulated Nous and selected the time before the demise of #27 Emperor Rubert… This latest update adds the Path of Erudition to the SU.
- Virtual Scentventure event – The Department of Ecology’s special test has begun. You have been specially invited as a qualified tester… Wait, what’s with these strange fragrances?
- Pure Fiction – Mr. Xiyan suddenly contacted you and said that he got a miraculous new pet, and that “you will definitely like it!”. Get a free Lynx (4-star Quantum Abundance) out of the event.
