Honor of Kings global launch begins today, bringing the world’s most played mobile MOBA to iOS and Android.
Gamers looking for something scratch that MOBA itch on the go can finally take on one of the biggest names in the world. Honor of Kings is coming to the continent thanks to publisher Level Infinite. The label behind Nikke and Tower of Fantasy will port the hugely popular title from China out into the Japan, Korea, South East Asia, Latin America, North America, and Europe, and a bunch of other territories. While a few lucky countries managed to get access earlier in the year, its finally time for the rest of us to experience the arena action for ourselves.
The launch will include tons of content, a huge roister of characters, and plenty of play modes. 85 launch Heroes plus the newly added Hero, Sun Ce are included and available to try out for free, at least for the first month. Once you’ve found your preferred playstyle, jump into the arena. The mainline Honor of Kings release includes traditional 5v5 MOBA encounters, 1v1, practice, ranked, and other challenges to take on.
Anybody who thinks they’ve got a chance of climbing the ladder early on can keep an eye out for some ferocious competition. 13 teams from Southeast Asia, Brazil, Türkiye, MENA, LATAM, and Western Europe will converge on the Sunway Velocity Mall in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur, to compete in an Invitational Season 2 Tournament soon. Kicking off on then Starting on June 29, this competition has a $300,000 USD prize pool and eight guaranteed slots for the Invitational Midseason which will form part of the Esports World Cup. For those of us more interested in looking good in the jungle, over 100 skins will unlock early on. In the first month following launch, we will also see notable IP collaborations with SNK, Saint Seiya, Hello Kitty, and Bruce Lee.
