The developers of turn-based RPG Honkai: Star Rail have taken to the official HoYoLAB site with the latest special edition of Dev Radio. In it, the team outlined the main points of feedback received after the release of Version 3.0 and Amphoreus, and the upcoming updates and enhancements to address it.
“Following the launch of Version 3.0, the Express Crew has received an array of feedback from Trailblazers during their exploration of the new world. Some of this feedback concerns issues with Trailblazers’ experiences with the story and exploration. We will be making adjustments and optimizations to address these issues with the aim of bringing Trailblazers a smoother journey experience.”
Here’s the TLDR summary:
- In response to feedback about Amphoreus’ excessive lore exposition, the developers will address the root of the issue by reducing design-related explanations in the story. In the future versions, Trailblazers will have the option of skipping this content to experience the story in a more relaxed manner.
- At the same time, the team is looking to arrange and present missions in a more reasonable manner, and reduce tedious narrative experiences like the black screen with white text. The main story will also be optimized in regard to the puzzle-solving designs.
- The developers will further optimize the lengthy and complex map pathing for the main storyline’s exploration. The overly concentrated enemy placement will be reduced.
- The upcoming versions of the game will be polished and fine-tuned to meet everyone’s expectations. These adjustments will take effect from V3.2.
Amphoreus is a year-long journey, and these story and puzzle-solving optimizations are just the beginning. The developers also intend to add richer combat gameplay and challenge goals to the game. In addition, issues close to Trailblazers’ hearts, including difficulty deploying older characters on the battlefield and the strengthening of these older characters, are already on the schedule.
