HSR – Check Out Version 2.5 Trailer & Overview

The developers of turn-based RPG Honkai: Star Rail had been on hand during the special program for Version 2.5: Flying Aureus Shot to Lupine Rue. In addition to giving out a stack of Stellar Jade promo codes, the team gave an overview of the upcoming story, banners, events, and other juicy details!

The update will arrive on September 10, continuing the story of the eagerly-awaited Wardance Ceremony held on the Xianzhou Luofu. However, not all things carry that merry mood about them. General Feixiao will personally lead her troops to capture the Borisin that have escaped the Shackling Prison, while Generals Jing Yuan and Huaiyan investigate the incident.

Feixiao is also due two videos: an animated short and a Myriad Celestia trailer. Stay tuned, we’re in for some greatness! Check out the Version trailer while we wait, and let’s dive into everything the new update has to offer.

Version 2.5 also marks the first arrival of a special War Event that features three rerunning limited 5-star characters at the same time! Prepare your Jades, because this one is a real deal. If you were looking forward to building your DOT or FUA teams, there might not be a better opportunity to spend your stash in the future.

In addition to the debut banner of Feixiao, the first half of the patch also marks the rerun of Black Swan, Kafka and Robin. The Warp count for the guaranteed 5-star will be shared across rerun and current limited banners. Switching banners won’t reset the guarantee count.

First half:

• 5-star characters: Feixiao (Wind Hunt), Black Swan (Wind Nihility), Kafka (Lightning Nihility), Robin (Physical Harmony);
• 4-star characters: Moze (NEW, Lightning Hunt), Asta (Fire Harmony), Luka (Physical Nihility);

Feixiao is a master of all forms of martial arts, having refined herself into the ultimate weapon. Not only is she a powerful warrior in her own right, she also benefits from her Allies’ attacks. New 4-star character Moze is featured in the first half. In battle, he marks a single enemy as the Prey and then enters the Departed state while the Prey is on the field. After allies attack the Prey, Moze deals additional damage.

Second half:

• 5-star characters: Lingsha (Fire Abundance), Topaz (Fire Hunt);
• 4-star characters: Misha (Ice Destruction), Natasha (Physical Abundance), Guinaifen (Fire Nihility).

In battle, Lingsha stands out with her ability to summon Fuyuan, an incense beast she created. Fuyuan assists in combat, but dissipates after a few actions. Lingsha can use her Skill to extend Fuyuan’s actions, allowing it to perform follow-up attacks.

The second half also runs a brand-new 4-star Light Cone among the featured ones.
