Stock up and head out because Hunt: Showdown as dropped a new trailer full of all sorts of goodies for the Western-themed PVP/PVE monster hunting shooter. Crytek released this new teaser trailer June 11 and its 59 second run time shows off some great new weapons. The four showcased are as follows:
The Vintage Crossbow – built around the concept of stealth kills the large crossbow is great for two reasons: it’s silent and ammo can be retrieved from corpses.
Throwing Knives – for those that like the stealthy but quicker approach to killing, throwing knives might just be your new best friend. Considered a consumable they can be carried in addition to your primary and secondary weapons and can also be collected from corpses and just about any other surface you stick them to.
The Hand Crossbow – If your not a fan of it’s two-handed cousin, the Hand Crossbow offers all of the stealth but is considered a pistol and is categorized as such.
The Sticky Explosive Bomb – A personal favorite, as it tends to make up for my terrible accuracy, the sticky explosive bomb pretty much works as you would expect. Throw it, stick it and boom, one less baddy in the world.
Briefly seen at the end of the video looks like something out of a water-themed horror movie. According to the developer its called the Water Devil and this tentacled creator has but one goal; stalk players as they traverse the many swamps and bayous in the world.
