The developers of the upcoming action RPG Monster Hunter World have shared a new short promotional video demonstrating the game’s gameplay and stunning visuals.  The trailer shows bits and pieces of different in-game cut-scenes, including chatting up with other characters, fighting monsters and more.

Additionally, the developers from Capcom plan on holding a streaming event on January 5th. The game’s producer Ryozo Tsujimoto, director Yuya Tokuda, and design director Kaname Fujioka will demonstrate the latest version of the game in action and share important information with the viewers.

Monster Hunt World will release on PS4 and Xbox One on January 26th, 2018. The release date of the PC version so far remains unknown. You can find out more on the official site. You can also check out our own Steven Weber’s first impressions from the beta version of the game here:

Monster Hunter World, in a nutshell, is a beautiful game, graphically pleasing at all turns, from the character models to the environment, to the monsters themselves.  The controls are quite cumbersome in some areas and simplistic in others.  For example, weapon combos generally utilize between two and three buttons, whereas managing your inventory to find, say, a healing potion could take several seconds with the D-pad.  They also have a quick access radial menu by pressing R1 and using the thumbstick, which I eventually started using, but again, the nature of the radial menu left me with dropping traps or using potions when I didn’t mean to during a fight, so it’s certainly something that may take some practice for the uninitiated.
