Astral Party just rolled into Steam Next Fest with anime girls and dice battles.
Anime avatars, competitive cards, turn based dice PvP, and an audacious attitude all come crashing together today, if you’re ready to take on Astral Party. Colorful, loud, and as eccentric as it sounds, this mashup of Otaku themes and board game battles has rolled onto the Steam next fest charts and the demo is so chaotic we haven’t been able to quite look away yet.
Available now, as part of the regular Steam showcase, Astral Party invites players eager to destroy their friendship. Choose from a range of animated characters and jump into an online board party game with up to 4 players. Should you choose to forgo the AI opponents and pick on your so-called friends, you’ll do more than simply roll some dice. Unfolding across a colroful deck, competitors will navigate a total of 15 different panel effects, random effects and events make every game full of suspense and unpredictability. With the roll of dice, you always have chances to turn the tables at the last minute.
As each game unfolds, winning players must face off against the envy of other players, monsters, and even a boss battle. The combat that ensues features an inventive one-on-one dice-based combat system. A variety of cards, effects, skill, and events can be used to prepare to act, then it’s down to the luck of the dice to find out if lands. The luck of the draw or the roll of the die is what makes games with friends’ fun. So why not add in a bit more anime too. You can check out Astral Party during Steam Next Fest for free, or just wait until this free to play finds its way into launch on 29 February.
