Machine Games and Bethesda have announced that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will adventure out the gate on December 9, 2024. It will first arrive for PC and Xbox Series X/S, with a PlayStation 5 version coming in Spring 2025.
During the opening ceremonies for Gamescom 2024, Bethesda developers showcased a new trailer showing off Indy in all his Nazi-bashing, adventure-loving glory set between the events of Raiders of the Lost Ark and Last Crusade.
The announcement of the PS5 version marks a stark change in the battle between the two largest console makers. Xbox has committed to releasing some games on PlayStation as part of its greater multiplatform approach. Interestingly, Phil Spencer originally stated that the game would remain exclusive to Xbox. It seems he had some kind of an epiphany that this might be a bad move, particularly in light of Xbox’s falling sales.
