Meridiem Games and Path Games have announced that their first-person horror game Insomnis will launch for Nintendo Switch on October 31st. Players looking for thrills and chills will not want to pass this one up. The spine-tingling game is now available to wishlist via the Nintendo eStore. The Switch version joins already-released versions on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Windows PC.
The Switch version of the game brings a number of gameplay features specific to the platform. Players will find a redesigned interaction system that is tailor-made for joycons. In addition, HD vibration will further enhance some terrifying moments. Players will be able to use the touch screen to interact with objects or to solve puzzles. The game will run at 720p in handheld mode and 1080p in Dock mode.
The game puts players in the shoes of Joe Castevet, a young man who has just inherited an old mansion in the country. As he begins to explore his family’s history, he discovers that its legacy is cursed. He will need to discover the dark secrets buried in the mansion and fight against his own destiny.
Rooms change and nightmares are brought to life. Developers have promised that the game offers players a morally ambiguous narrative. Nothing, they’ve said, is as it seems.
