Dune Spice Wars Shared the First Gameplay Trailer

Dune: Spice Wars, the recently released RTS turned 4x battle for Arrakis just conquered another milestone with the announcement of a new multiplayer mode.

Tell your friends, the utterly annihilate them as you all choose a side in the brutal battle for a desert planet and clash to see who will control the future, because he controls Spice controls the universe. The news that Dune: Spice Wars has a multiplayer option just dropped and anybody going head to head with other players can log into 2v2 matches. These free for all experiences mean that players can take the reins of either the Atreides, Harkonnen, Fremen, or Smugglers and make use of every resource available to each of these powerful and diverse adversaries.

As well as the various factions and their own tech trees, the new multiplayer mode provides plenty of room to change things up, adding in customizable map sizes, the infamous sandworms, weather, and AI opponents to keep players on their toes.

This isn’t the only change to Spice Wars today either. The new update will see a rework the development trees with a focus on synergy between factions, new additional political resolutions, events, regions, and many other improvements. This huge range of different tweaks and content updates isn’t entirely unexpected. This spin on the iconic Dune RTS is in Early Access, with these extras forming part of the ongoing Early Access roadmap for this adventure.

For those that don’t want to miss out on any more, then Dune: Spice Wars is currently available at a 20% discount on the official Steam Store page, giving players an opportunity to jump into the classic Sci-fi universe of Dune. Landing on the coveted planet o Ara Arrakis, players must fight, negotiate, and undermine their opponents through a range of tactics to become the rulers of this barren rock and control the flow of Spice across the galaxy.
