IO Interactive isn’t resting on the laurels of Hitman III and its first amazing year of reliable and interesting DLC releases. The team announced that the World of Assassination Year 1 content reached a respectable 50M players and they’re ready to unveil the Year Two content that HM3 players can expect going into 2022.
Over 2022, players can expect a number of technical improvements throughout early 2022 including:
- HM3 VR on PC (January 2022)
- Elusive Target Arcade (January 2022)
- Raytracing on PC (2022)
In addition, IO’s CEO Hakan Abrak announced that the team is hard at work on new maps, storylines, new game modes, new ways to play the game, and “surprises that the community has been asking for a very, very long time”.
A new way to play Elusive Targets arrives in HM 3 in a brand new game mode that we’re calling Elusive Target Arcade. Prepare to take on the ultimate Elusive Target challenge in a change to the established formula in this fan-favorite game mode. All Elusive Target Arcade content will be a permanent addition to the game. Full details on how this game mode works will be shared in early January 2022.
