Gameloft and Disney have announced that Disney Speedstorm has received the Journey of Emotions seasonal update, which pays homage to Disney’s new feature film, Inside Out 2. The movie launches later this week, so the update is beautifully timed. The content expansion sees some of the film’s most prominent characters as racers and crew members. The update released simultaneously for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
Riley’s emotions will take center stage in the update. This means new Racers, a new Racing Environment, and new Crew Members.

- New Racers include Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust, Sadness, and two mystery racers that will arrive mid-season.
- New Crew Members include Happy Riley, Angry Riley, Scared Riley, Sad Riley, Disgusted Riley, Riley’s Mom, Riley’s Dad, and several others.
In addition to the new Racers, Crew Members, and Racing Environment, Disney Speedstorm will receive a new Team Battle racing mode where two teams of three racers each battle it out for rewards. Ranked Races will see major improvements designed to make the competitive experience more rewarding for all players. A new Player Rank progression and reward system will work alongside the current individual racer and progression paths, giving players even more opportunities to unlock exciting rewards.
Lastly, Gameloft announced that Disney Speedstorm will launch the game’s mobile version on July 11th. So far, over a million players have pre-registered. As a result, there is a new community challenge for players to check out that will run from now through the launch of the mobile version.
