Revealed during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live, Jumanji: The Curse Returns is exactly what the fans of the franchise will expect. Coming to PC and Nintendo Switch, the latest game of Jumanji does not quite have a release date yet but potential players can expect teams of up to 4 to take on the dangers that Jumanji poses, and stop this seemingly simple board game from invading our world.
By working as part of a team, players will work their way through this dangerous board game to reach the centre of the playspace and save the town of Brantford from an entire jungle that’s creeping its way across the otherwise concrete sidewalks of the normal world.
As you take on this somewhat familiar series of encounters, it will involve some sights that already appears across the wider world of Brantford. This includes protagonist Alan’s father’s shoe factory to the Sir Sav-A-Lot supermarket. And of course, they’ll need to avoid the aim of legendary hunter Van Pelt.
This 3D interpretation of the Jumanji book turned movie, turned board game, turned movie and sequel might not star any Hollywood superstars but it’s Jumanji and It’s never worth underestimating a game like this.
